IL PSM Student Spotlight: Emily Rogier

Our midweek spotlight is Emily Rogier, Agricultural Production student specializing in Sustainable Production Systems.

Emily’s University of Illinois journey began as an undergraduate studying Agricultural and Consumer Economics with minors in Animal Sciences and Agriculture Safety and Health. During this time, she became intrigued with sustainable practices, environmental and agriculture policies, especially ones affecting developing countries. Emily loves to travel and has studied abroad in China and Sierra Leone. This summer, she is working for the Illinois Farm Bureau working as a Governmental Affairs and Commodities Division intern where she is involved in everything from social media to helping plan the Farm Income and Innovations Conference. Her favorite thing so far – getting to do something new every day and seeing how the policies and resolutions of her division are affecting local farmers and projects.
